building distribution - Copy file into a folder

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm assuming that the "build manager" you're talking about is the Manage Distributions dialog. If that is the case, then yes, when you create a new distribution, you can specify an existing .cds file (distribution settings) to base the new one on. You can then make whatever tweaks you need.

What question are you talking about?

Mert did not mention anything regarding copying build distribution items.

Sorry, I didn't see the last post as it was hiding on a new page.

Cheers!

Ebalci was referencing the original question -- about installing files to the Windows directory. You marked the problem as solved, but the "Accepted Solution" post (the one highlighted in green) is not the post with the solution, but rather your reply post saying "thanks". It's not a big deal, but for the sake of other users searching for the solution, it's best to try to mark the post that actually contains the solution.

Sorry everyone, I will know better next and mark the correct post.

I thought you could mark it in a reply but now I know.

Thanks to all.
