"The DataFinder cannot start due to an internal error. std::exception" When Windows boots up

All,

I have seen other messages with this description, but they are all specific errors fir Diadem or other programs.  This error happens when I boot up each time and the box is labeled "National Instruments DataFinder".  I tried deleting the National Instruments program that was in my startup folder, but that didn't change anything.

There is no specific error number called out like in some of the other posts, this one just says "std::exception", so I'm not sure what to do to get rid of this.  Its mostly an annoyance, but I would still like to solve the issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Doug Borders

Hi Doug,

I'm guessing you don't have Diadem installed? Maybe this article will help anyway: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/85FC48DDF584FE8C86257937005455E2.

Do you have DataFinder installed?

The toolkit wouldn't show up in your installed programs list as it is more like a plugin to LabVIEW. Instead, pull up NI License Manager and go to Local Licenses > LabVIEW XXXX > Toolkits and see if it is listed amongst the toolkits you have installed. There should be a geen box next to it to indicate that it has been installed and activated.

I also found this guy:
