upgrade source cvi

Bonjour,

J’ai récupéré un programme réalisé en CVI 2009 et je voudrai  faire une migration vers CVI 2010.

Le problème est que si je modifie l’interface, le programme lance une erreur 114 : «  The format of the file is newer than this version of CVI ».

Je ne comprends pas cette erreur car le programme est bien sous 2010.

Quelqu’un a-t-il une solution contre ce problème ?

Merci d’avance

This error is received when opening a UIR file. In your situation it's strange that you get this error, since it should only arise in the opposite case (opening a 2010 UIR with 2009 IDE): could it be that the UIR has been modified with a newer CVI release (2012?) behind your back?

If you an open the UIR in CVI 2012, you should be able to downgrade to any previous version up to 7.1, provided you are not using any control not included in the target version.

If you can post your UIR file I can downgrade it for you.

Hello and thank you for your response,

The project was saved in a 2009 version before I open it in 2010. If I just open the uir. in 2010 without modified anythings I can compile but if I make a change on the panel and I saved, I get the error 114.

If the uir was saved before with CVI 2012, I can't openned and compile my program in 2010.

For the uir I will see with my customers if I can send you.

If you can open the UIR in CVI2010 you could try savingi it in text format (Options >> Save in text format... menu item): this produces a .TUI file that can be reloaded at a later time and saved back in binary format. Sometimes this is helpful in getting rid of strange errors in UIR files.

I tried and I still have the same error.

Can you look if you have the same problem?

Thank you very much

Hello matt,

I could successfully open your UIR in CVI 2009SP1, 2010 and 2012SP1, made modifications (actually I simply rearranged panels to avoid some overlapping) and save in native version without getting errors. I am attaching all these versions.

It seems that there is something problematic inside your installation of CVI: is this the only file which gives you this error? If you can't open my files you should consider repairing your CVI install.
