vis in labwindows

Hi all,
 is it possible to use Labview .vis files with Labwindows? The problem is that the dll file that came with my instrument does not work properly. But there are additionally VIS for Labview available that work correctly (at least an example .exe file works). Unfortunately I do not know how to import these .vis files to Labwindows. Is there a way to do this, or is it possible in Labview to convert .vis files to Labview files?

Hi Markus!

The way to get a VI from LabVIEW to CVI is creating a dll from that VI and then calling it in CVI.

The following link shows how to create a DLL from LabVIEW, its for versions 6.x+:

Also there is a link on how to import a LV dll in CVI, the thing is that is a little outdated, you can try and see if it works for you:
