Bebin,
Since you don't have a "Smart Camera" category in LabVIEW, this indicates you are missing the LabVIEW RT smart camera pieces on your host machine. This can often happen if you install Vision Acquisition _before_ installing LabVIEW RT. Since Vision Acquisition doesn't see LabVIEW RT in that case, it does not install the RT components needed to see the target in LabVIEW.
Try reinstalling Vision Acquisition on your host PC.

Hi Eric, thanks for your comments. You was right indeed. I reinstalled Vision Acquisition 2009 software for the Smart Camera from the VISION ACQUISITION DVD and after the reinstallation, I saw this update option in Add/Remove Software of the Smart Camera in MAX:
Then I updated it:
And, after it, I was able to add the Smart Camera as a Target or Device:
I am very grateful with the help you gave me both Kristen and Eric, thank you very much.
P.S. If I need to make another question for any different doubt or trouble, should I open a new Subject or can I post it right here?

bebin,
glad things are working now. It would probably be best to open a new thread if its a new question- then the title can better identify the issue and you are likely to get more people to read it and help!
Take care
