I am having an issue with one of my NI 1772 Smart Cameras. We have about 8 of them, but for some reason, one will not connect. I open National Instruments Vision Builder AI software, connect the camera via ethernet, and the green light comes on on the camera. However, when I hit refresh in the software, the light does not blink or do anything, and therefore, the camera does not show up. I only have this issue with one camera. The rest show up when I hit refresh. They are not networked, I connect to each one individually.
Is there a way to do a factory reset on these cameras? Is there a default IP address assigned to these that I could try to type in and manually add the camera? Did it die?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hello crave123
The 177x Smart Cameras should give user access to a console out feature which shows the current IP address of the target.

In this document there are a good number of steps that we can try to see the current IP address, reset the IP address (using a DIP switch control accessory which you may or may not still have), and a few other steps that might be helpful.
Please take a look at this document and post back here if you have any trouble!
Have a great week!

This was very helpful. I was able to connect the camera to a monitor and see that I had a fatal crash. I forget the code, but I was unable to reset the camera here manually, so I had to send it back to NI. Thanks again.
