Using a Thunderbolt expansion chassis with a NI frame grabber

Has anyone used a Thunderbolt expansion chassis with an NI frame grabber?

I'm looking to add the ability to use a NI PCIe-1433 Camera Link frame grabber to my laptop.  Any advice?

Hi Bruce,

I think we've used the PCIe-1433 and 1437 in a Sonnet Thunderbolt 3 chassis before. Those devices aren't fully Thunderbolt-certified, so things like hot-plugging them are unlikely to work properly, but otherwise normal usage should be fine.

Thanks, I'm going to try to convince management here to give it a shot and see how it goes.  If you think of anything else, or even give it a try, let me know.

Also, do you happen to know the differences between the 1433 and 1437?  We have 1433s probably because 1437s did not exist when we selected the 1433.
