image too large in third party software after IMAQ update

Hi,

I am developing a calibration system for line scales. As part of the calibration process a third party software (developed using labview), determines the position of the line on the scale. This software uses a pci-1409 card and a Hitachi camera to acquire the image. This image is then diplayed on the front panel beside a graph.

This process worked fine until I updated my version of labVIEW to 2011. The problem now is that the image is too wide in the third party software, it covers the graph on the front panel.

I was wondering if there is any way too resize the image???    (Maybe with MAX???)

It cant be done from the front panel of the 3rd party software and I dont have access to the source code of the 3rd party software.

Also I would rather not down grade my IMAQ Drivers as I want to use vision builder which needs IMAQ 4.something....

Hope someone can help!

Regards,

Cain

Hi Cain,

Updating your software might have overwritten the camera file as well, and it looks like the 3rd party software you're describing might use the parameters saved in Max. Your idea of updating the parameters in Max is the right one.

Launch Max. Expand the 1409, then select the camera file corresponding to your camera (RS170 for example), and adjust the parameters.

Save the configuration. And hopefully, your application will use those updated parameters.
