networkt commication problem after restart of NI1772

Hi

we are using VBAI 2011/2012 and CVI 2012. Our application consist a NI1772 Smart Camera and a PC with CVI 2012. The computer and the smart cam are communicating over network variables.

The application is running in a good way. But after a restart of the camera it is difficult to establish a communication between the camera and the computer. We have to start our cvi program several time before the communication is working in a good way. Meanwhile we use delays for communication in the camera.

We we go in the camera program we see that a problem with the network communication is displayed.

Does anyone of you have an idea how we can avoid this?

after every restart the communication can not be established. only if the VBAI Program is started.

Hello Ozi,

according to this paper:

- Troubleshooting the Smartcamera

It can take up to 60 seconds until the camera is fully boot. Could that be the problem, that you are trying to connect to the camera during this boot time?

Or is the camere on and you are just rebooting the PC?
