I have tried several times to install Measurement Studio 2019 on a Windows 11 computer. I have tried the installation in its simplest form, without any addtional packages or features. Every time I have attempted an installation the result was a blue-screen crash. To resolve the crash I had to use a Windows Restore Point.
Does anyone have tips or experience that would give me hope of being able to install Measurement Studio on a Windows 11 machine?
Does anyone have experience with what happens when Windows Updates is used to update a computer with MeasStudio 2019 from Windows 10 to Windows 11?
Is there any word from National Instruments about support for Windows 11?

I have asked NI Support the questions in my earlier post. Below is their answer:

I understand that you are trying to install Measurement Studio 2019 on a Windows 11 machine. Unfortunately, this software doesn't support that OS. The software was released in 2019 so for obvious reasons there was no proper testing for W11.
Answering your questions:
Is there going to be a version of Measurement Studio that is compatible with Windows 11?
Is there going to be a version of Measurement Studio that supports Visual Studio 2022?

For me, this is a very disruptive. I would like to open a discussion on solutions to this problem. Anyone interested in a discussion, we can start a new topic?

- No. The latest version released is Measurement Studio 2019. NI does not plan to upgrade the product.

- As I mentioned the last release for Measurement Studio was the Measurement Studio 2019 and NI does not plan to migrate the product to support the latest versions of .NET (5 and later) or newer versions than Visual Studio 2019 support.

Wow, great to hear that they have unofficially EOL Measurement Studio (/s) Wish they'd have told their customers that. Fortunately driver support for .NET will continue and perhaps we will get .NET 5+ native versions of those at some point.
Speaking to Win11 - I have a VM running that and Measurement Studio 2019 (inside VS 2019 Professional) just fine.

I tried a Windows 11 VM installation of VS2019 and MS2019. It goes blue-screen on me during the MS2019 install. I only started using the VM after I had the same thing happen to me twice on a real machine (MS Surface Laptop 5). I didn't do anything special during my installation attempts. Each time I did the installation I installed fewer and fewer of the MS features. Your success gives me confidence that it is doable. I'll give it another try, but would appreciate any pointers you can think of.
When you say "driver support" do you mean the MS dlls or the DAQmx hardware drivers? I haven't been playing with DAQmx drivers yet, but I have some confidence that they are going to be no problem.
I've spent just a little time working with the NI MS dlls outside of MS and found I get license errors. I once read how to implement the MS library of dll manually, it sounded complicated. I was thankful for the MS Extension's automation to keep the dlls up-to-date. The extension also had a license fixer, that I used from time to time. The License file can also be a bear.
For me, the killer tool of MS is the Scatter Graph control. I use many of its features and I'm concerned that I won't be able to find anything comparable.
Thanks for the commiseration.
