Hi all,

I have changed the date for the next LVUG to Wed 10 August.  This is so that Gerald can do a presentation on the NI Week recap. Gerald is the new NI FSE in Melbourne, and it would be a great chance for you all to meet him if you haven't as yet.

Hope the date change doesn't inconvenience too many folks.

Regards

Chris

Hello everyone,

Firstly, a reminder that our next user group has moved to Wednesday 10th August @ 6:30pm.

Secondly, it's going to be a great one to attend.  Gerald, the new NI FSE for VIC will be attending - a lot of you may not have met Gerald yet, and he will be giving us an update on the latest NI product offerings - a lot of which are being announced this week at NI Week 2016.

The agenda for next Wed is:

  • Wireless Sensor Nodes by Parag Panchal - An IoT application, based on the NI WSN products.
  • NI Week Recap by Gerald Mateo - An update on the latest NI product offerings
  • mBot and Scratch by Chris Farmer - A look at a different graphical programming language that is on offer today - mBlock for the mBot - an Arduino based robot that can be programmed by a Scratch-based development environment.

If you get a chance, its worth watching the NI Week 2016 Keynote Presentations.  You can view them here: http://www.ni.com/niweek/keynote-videos

Please raise your hand if you're attending next week - hope to build on the group size from last year!

Thanks

Chris

Please RSVP if you're coming as I haven't had many takers so far.  I am sure we'll get a good crowd, but just want to get some confidence!!
