Help with Servo motor and joystick controller function

Hi I am trying to make a boat using a xbox control moving with the analog joystick: the left joystick is for the motor and the right joystick moves the servo motor that is attach to the rudder of the boat , The motor have no problem it works in real life when I move the left joystick, then when I move the right joystick it does not want to move the servo , if I move from my VI it the servo moves but if use the joystick it does not want to move , I use a global variable to move the slider bar to move the servo as in the motor. btw I control my servo with pulse width and not angels
