Mechanical noise

Hi,

        After long time again I have started another project in LAbview. Hope some one help me here, I am doing a project related to pumps. We have some pumps that will generate mechanical noise when the stroke value is low i.e.. At the beginning to some value. Now, we are checking these noise by manvally (by hearing or etc) but we would like to generate system that will automatically check the product and set it another stroke value. We are using serial communication for communicating with our number of pumps. We would like to do it by taking some sensor that can give noise values which will help us to rectify the problem in pumps. I hope some one will suggest me.

Since one day but no one replied for my doubt. I hope might be my way questioning is wrong. I can explaine little bit furthur here. So, We are developing mini pumps which can be used for liquids, gases and vaccume. The pumps will work bases stroke mechanisam iniside. When stroke is low or high, i am getting some mechanical noise inside which is adjusted by manuvally i.e by hand. I would like to do it in labview, to adjust this noise with maximum or minimum stroke. i am using Serial communication to all the pumps those are connected to board and board is connected seriall to Labview. I would like to control this noise(sound when stroke hit the inside mechanical parts) by external sensors. Can any one done it same way before. Can someone help me how i gonna proceed.
