Problem in driver

The hardware we use for our application are:
                      NI-PCI-7334 (motion controller card )
                      NI-PCI-6602 (DIO card)
                      NI-PCI-GPIB
                      PCI-CAN Series 2 Interface

Along with this we use Labview 5.1 for development.
We use Windows XP operating system.

Kindly suggest us the drivers for all the hardware we have to install in our pc, with out any crash.
Initially we had old drivers when we update the new drivers we had problem in the MAX,
In Max , motion contoller PCI 7334, when we clicked the 1D-Interactive, MAX had closed with out any message.

Kindly suggest us the correct drivers to be installed for the above mentioned hardware, with  labview 5.1 as our development platform.

Thankyou

Hello RajeshPonraj,

Thank you for your interest in developing with LabVIEW.  Unfortunately, it doesn't look like you will be able to get all of this hardware to work with LabVIEW 5.1.

NI-PCI-7334 (motion controller card ) - Compatible with LabVIEW 6.i and higher (Motion 6.0)
NI-PCI-6602 (DIO card) - Compatible with LabVIEW 5.1 and higher (DAQ version 6.9.3)
NI-PCI-GPIB - Should work with LabVIEW 5.1 though not tested (488.2 version 2.4)
PCI-CAN Series 2 Interface - Compatible with LabVIEW 6 and higher

I would recommend you upgrade to a newer version of LabVIEW, especially if developing a new application.  As time goes on, LabVIEW 5.1 will become increasingly obsolete.  All of this hardware will work with the newest version of LabVIEW and the newest versions of the drivers though.  You can find more information about LabVIEW 8.2 at the link below:

Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Luke H

Dear Luke,
In the past we had worked with the same hardwares of NI, with labview 5.1 as our development platform, we had no problem with any of this hardware, once we had updated the drivers(new version) for the same hardwares, we had problem in MAX as well as the functionality of the hardwares via labview.

Then we uninstalled all the updated version and reverted back to the old version which we were using initially, at the moment we dont have a 100% stable system which we had previously. (which we had used for 4 years).

We do have labview 8.2 with the same hardwares running, but the system we had for labview 5.1 is our "Master_System", (prototype). So the system should run for the life test projects so we cannot change it.

The drivers we used for our application (from nireport.txt) :

RajeshPonraj,

If it's possible, the best solution would be to format your PC.  Simply uninstalling and reverting back to the old drivers will not always solve the problem, as you have seen.  If possible, I would recommend backing up the documents you have on the PC, and then formatting and reinstalling the OS, LabVIEW, and the drivers from the previous setup that you had working.

If formatting is not an option, you may be able to clean up leftovers from your driver installations using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility.

Luke H

We are using LabView 6.1 in the Windows XP 32 bit system.

We have communication issues between the controller and PC.
First Issue:

We have found out that there is a VISA warning.

VISA error code: 0x3FFF0077 (VI WARN_CONFIG_NLOADED).

viOpenDefaultRM returned 0x3FFF0077

The following passport already exists in the specified folder but is not loaded.

C:\VXIpnp\WinNT\Bin\NiViPxi.dll

NiViPxi.dll for version 2.6.0.7 is already there in the folder.

We searched for this file on the internet and tried to install it, but it didn't work out.

We could get files for a higher version of LabView 4.2.0f0 and 19.0.0f2

The second issue:

We tried to look for NI-DAQ™mx  (the installation file might be corrupted)

The file that exists in C: drive installation folder is for version 1.0

In the website above we have installation files for versions starting from 9.0 to 19.0.

I believe if we get the new NiViPxi.dll and  NI-DAQ™mx files for the existing versions then we can sort out this issue.

It will be nice if someone can help us with this issue
