AI to AO amplitudes different w/no math?

I'm trying to use the DAQ_AI-AO_Delay.vi from the Community site (https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-6460) but am getting significantly different amplitudes on the AO signal. For example, if I input a +- 2 volt 100 Hz sine wave, the AO gives me something like +- 1.8 v. The difference depends somewhat on the input amplitude.

I don't understand why this is happening.

HW is external function generator to create a sinusoid, CDaq NI 9234 for AI, NI 9263 for AO, external O-scope to visualize the two signals. SW is LV 2009 and DAQMX 9.3.

Thx.

Try sending the data from your AI into an indicator in LabVIEW (graph or chart) is this value what you expect to see? This will help determine if the difference is coming from the read side, the write side, or both.
