Adding time period for analogue output

Hello,

I am trying to add some additonal functionality to the vi below to allow the user to output a voltage (DC) on ports A0 and A1 for a duration of there choosing. Somewhere along  lines of 0 to 30 seconds, then returning back to 0V on the output when the time period is complete.

I don't seem to be having much look in achieving this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I think the most feasible way of adding such a functionality would be by adding a time-out case to the event structure (an event that is always executed if no other user input is given), which sets your outputs back to 0.

You can do this by wiring a value to the small blue sand-clock in the upper right corner of the event structure (or a control if you want to make it changeable bu the user) and  then add an event with "Application --> Timeout" as event case.

I hope that is what you were looking for and it is enough of a pointer in the right direction.
