Can I substitute a PCI-6071E with an AT-MIO-64E-3

We have some old test systems at work that use AT-MIO-64E-3 cards and some newer systems (only about 10-12 years old) that have PCI-6071E cards installed.  It looks as though the software is the same system to system and was done in LV 4 I believe.  I checked the pin outs and they are identical so before I tried swapping cards I thought I'd ask some experts.  Do you think they're interchangeable or would we have to recompile anything (original software engineers are long gone).  Thanks for the help.

Hello,

I looked into the differences of the two devices.  You are correct, the pin out of the devices are the same.  The only difference I can see with a couple initial searches is that the devices have two different maximum sample rates.  The AT-MIO-64E-3 (6061E)  form factor has a maximum sample rate of 1E500 KS/s and the PCI 6071E has 1.25 MS/s.  If the software is the same, I do not see any issue with swapping the cards.  Worse case you might have to adjust the sample rate, however it might be set to the the same rate in each system.
