Can anyone recommend a reliable motherboard for the PCI Express DAQmx card NI PCIe-6259 ?

Hello

I've seen some warnings about specific motherboards hanging up at POST ( Power On Self Test) in this discussion forum with a PCIe-6259 installed.
I'm hoping a few people can recommend a specific motherboard they are using thats trouble free with the PCIe-6259 .

Thanks

Hi George,

We haven't heard about many more problems with incompatible motherboards other than the previous posts you may be refering to:

I have a Dell Precision 390 that has worked with no problems with PCIe devices.

As long as the motherboard follows the PCI Express Standard, it should work with the PCIe-6259, but if you do experience problems, you can contact us from www.ni.com/support

Thanks for responding NI-Bongo.

Since originally posting this request 2 years ago I have installed the PCIe-6259 in several Dell computers without any problems!

Also on a Dell Optiplex and Windows 10 i am using a NI PCIe 6259 with NI-DAQmx 16 successfully. It works fine up to now.

I have big problem with two identically NI PCIe 6351 X-Series on Lenovo E31 or Fujitsu Siemens and Windows 7. Strange behaivor on different slots, x1 and x16. Mostly cards not show up at all or if so, saying "unable to start device". Feels like Dell-PCs are best for National Instruments DAQ. But this is not objective information. Maybe my Lenovos E31 PCIe Revision 2.0 is not fully downwards compatible to Rev. 1.1 is used in a 6351 X-Series card. PC is from year 2012. But X-Series is older and should work!? Or both cards are damaged and i just dont know.
