Hi all,
We are trying to create a GUI for our project that involves acquiring a signal from a soft tissue testing machine via the NI DAQ1200 card connected to a laptop. This card is as you would know quite old. We had to install NI-DAQ 6.9.3 just to be able to recognise the device. We are however running Labview 8.6 and cannot seem to access the channels of this device for data acquisition
please help

Unfortunately, your older hardware is not supported by your newer software.
To be able to keep support for your DAQpad-1200, you need NI-DAQ 6.9.3. This version of the driver only has support for LabVIEW 5.0.1-6.1.
If you want to stay with this hardware, you will need an older version of LabVIEW. Depending on what your application is, you can upgrade to a relatively inexpensive piece of hardware and use the latest drivers and LabVIEW 8.6 (or our newest verion, LabVIEW 2009).
