Hello,
I am trying to use the DAQ Assist Express VI, however, it will not initialize for me. The computer administrator tried to initialize under his account and it worked for him. We've checked the DAQ board and it's fine. The DAQ Assist will even recognize that there is a PCI board and will allow us to select channels but it won't initialize. I am using LabView 9.0 on Windows 7. Please help!

GradStudent,
What version of DAQmx driver are you using? A lot of times this error can occur when there is a problem with this driver. I would suggest downloading and installing the latest version of DAQmx from our website. A link to that download can be found here. Please let me know if this helps.
Regards,
Brian P

So, I updated the driver and I'm still getting the same problem.

Hi GradStudent,
It sounds like the behavior described in this KB:
DAQ Assistant Fails to Generate Inputs or Outputs When Configured
A more permanent fix is currently under investigation by the LabVIEW team (corrective action request #278430). Hopefully the workaround described in the KB will be sufficient in the meantime.
Best Regards,
