Hello,
PIC-6023E running under W7 x64 with NI-DAQmx 9.7
If I open DAQ Diagnostic Utility 2.1, select Dev3 (PCI-6023E) and hit the "Go!" button, the diagnostic tests stop at the device reset stage, after the "unplug stuff, do you want to continue, yes" dialog box.

Selected Device: Dev3

Serial Number: B3F2EF
Device Support: (PASS)
NI-DAQmx Version: 9.7 (PASS)
Device Reset: (PASS)
In NI-MAX 5.4.0f0 I can run test panels and the card responds as I would expect it to.
Is this a known/unknown software bug or could it be indicative of a hardware fault? (I picked up this board to replace the defective PCI-6025E for my application)
Thanks,

Hi Marko,
I think this is unlikely to be a hardware issue. Are you running the Diagnostic Utility with admministrator privileges? It seems the utility will drop out if it's not run as an administrator.
Hope this helps.

Chris

Thanks Chris.
Yes I'm running with admin priviliges. The PCI-6025E card (also fitted in the same machine) runs through the procedure fine (even though the analogue input stage is U/S on that card!) but the PCI-6023E card doesn't. I'll try playing musical PCI slots to see if this has any effect, else I'm stumped!
Cheers,

Keep me updated and I'll look into this further.

No amount of PCI slot swapping changes this behaviour.
Installed Ni DAQ Diagnostic Utility 2.0 (using compatibility mode in W7 x64)
Installed LabVIEW runtime environment 8.0 (it complained without it)
Restarted. Open the diagnostic utility. Runs just fine and the 6023E card passes self-cal and counter/Ai/Dio tests just fine.
Looks like a bug in v2.1 in this environment with the 6023E card. Not one that bothers me any longer so please don't look into this furhter on my account, but it might be worth finding out what's broken between revisions.

Hi Marko,
Glad you got working again. I'll try and get round to filing a corrective action request for this utility.
Best Regards,
Chris
