Hey,

 

I am writing a proposal for a first-year circuits lab as the lab instructor. We use the DAQ usb 6001 as our means for measurements in creating a variety of sensors. I need to know how long the average device lasts as a lifespan for this proposal and couldn't find anything online.

Typically, if you use it properly, it will last easily 5-10 years, there is nothing in the DAQ that limits the lifespan.

 

But if handled incorrectly, it could die just within a few seconds.

It is not accurate but you can try MTBF for the purpose of documentation.

 Where Can I Find the MTBF for My NI Device?
