Hello Friends,
I am doing a Project proposal, concerning Condition Based Monitoring of Marine Engines on board a small Vessel. The subject Vessel has FOUR Outboard Engines / Mercury Verado 350, which are already tied together / Daisy Chained with NMEA 2000 from their G3 CAN Connector.
My objective is ;
1.To record data of the NMEA2000 output. The latter can be arranged; plenty of CAN recorders are available commercially.
2. We intend to attach each engine with a PIEZO / IEPE vibration sensor too. The same / all four sensors, end up on the cDAQ-SV1101 (Bundle includes the NI-9234 C) for picking up Vibration Data. From our requirement, this data also needs to be recorded on board and later downloaded to a PC for processing / FFT and similar.
I need help / advise over how to save DATA from both the NMEA2000 and the NI BUNLDE at one place, if possible. Once data is saved then same shall be transferred to a USB and carried over ashore to a PC for processing / evaluation.
The storage needs to be at least a TB because of the anticipated huge volume of Vibration Data. The Vessel would stay out at sea for two days initially and I need data for this entire period.
Thank you so much for the audience.
