Dear All,
I am trying to install drivers for an instrument which has PCI 8331 in the connected computer.
I have tried NI-DAQmx or NI-DAQ, but Measurement & Automation Explorer still can't find the divice.
Also when I open the software for the instrument, it shows PCI 6025E is not found.
I would appricate if you could give me any suggestion. Thanks!

Are you sure it is not a PXI-6025E you are trying to connect to? If not, I do not see what the MXI-4 connection has to do with anything.
Is the PXI chassis turned on and connecter BEFORE you turn on the computer? That is a requirement for PXI. Since it is an extension of PCI, the discovery is done at bootup.

Hello crossrulz,
Thank you for the quick reply.
You are right it is PXI-6025E. However it still can't find the device even if I turned on the instrument first.
Also, Windows shows it found a new PCI hardware and requires installing the driver. But I already installed NI-DAQmx. Is this wrong?

You might want to try installing the PXI Platform Services as well. I thought it was included with DAQmx, but possibly not.

Thanks! I just tried this. I had to install an old version because the OS is XP sp1.
I got something on the device list, but it shows communication is not available, as shown in the first figure attached.
According to the doc, I should get something like shown in the second figure.
Do I still miss some other drivers?
