Does anyone know how the FFT dB RMS calculation is made in the DAQExpress software and what the reference value is for dB? I am comparing two different signals' FFTs and I need to understand the amplitudes of the various frequencies relative to the different signals. Considering dB is a relative value, is there any way to maintain a defined reference value in the calculation in different signals so it can be compared apples to apples?
