Having trouble with my PCI-6023E frezzing up my computer when operating buffer

I have an error 201188 occured at DAQmx Self Calibrate.vi:1 came up when running the DAQ Diagnostic Utility v2. It then went to test counters and the computer froze and had to restart when it got to the first test of CTR Buffered Pulse Generation. I ran the diagnostic utility because earlier the part of my program that was running a NI-DAQmx Task reading N Samples from the any of the analog inputs would also freeze up the computer, but not when reading 1 sample on Demand in the acquisition mode of the Timing settings. Plus running the self calibrate in the measurement and Automation Explorer would also cause the computer to frezze up but I'm able to send digital outputs on demand without the computer freezeing up.Tried shutting down all the extra programs running in the bakground, but didn't help. I'm running a Windows XP professional version 2002 service pack 2 with an intel pentium R dual CPU E2160 at 1.8GHz and 1 GB of RAM. I have a 80GB hard drive too. The PCI 6023E is the only DAQ card I have installed on my computer. I've been using this computer and card for a while and never had this problem before.

Does your device pass self-test? Can you run a task in Measurement & Automation (MAX) Explorer? Lastly, can you replicate the behaviour on another PC?

Sorry for the long wait to respond, but I still do need this resolved. It does pass the self test, but I cannot run a task in MAX without it frezzing up. I haven't tried it on another PC just yet, but will try it soon. This other PC will have to use a different DAQ of the same model for now. Also the problem fixed itself on the PC I was having problems on when I accidently burned out the PC's power supply and replaced it with a new one. Even though it is fixed now and I don't see the problem anymore yet, I'd still like to find out why it happen the first time, so if it comes up again I don't have to burn out the power supply to fix it. Also note, that I did initially try restarting the computer several times using a cold and warm restart but didn't fix the problem, only the power supply burnout fixed it for now.

Thanks,

Jesse

This issue seems to be PC sourced. If we could duplicate the behaviour on another PC, this would isolate the issue to the DAQ card.
