How can I control a relay using a NI DAQ USB 6009

I am trying to control a Transmitter that requires 9V using my NI DAQ USB 6009 but it only gives me 5V @ 1A. First I try using a relay but still I need something else. Is there any IC or circuit that can solve the problem?

Thanks

It gives you 5V at 100ma drive from a digital output so if your relay requires more current, you can just add a relay driver such as a ULN200x. The source of the 9V would be something else external. A battery, even a cheap wall wart.

You didn't tell the needed supply current, if it is below 500mA AND you can switch on the low side (mean you supply the 9V and switch the GND) you can use a a 1M resistor from the digital out to the gate of a BS170 FET ( Souce to GND and Drain to the GND of the transmitter).

If your transmitter has a enable input you maybe even can control that pin with a DO and don't need a relay or FET.

So, tell us more about your transmitter and you maybe only need a 9V power supply.

If you look for a DC-DC converter to create a 9V supply from your 5V(200mA max see spec.) , keep in mind that these  DC convertes a prone to switching noise that might couple to your analog readings (if there are any..). So IF you have the time and want to learn something about voltage converter go to ti.com or linear.com  and build it yourself . Otherwise take a 9V batterie or power supply ....
