I am using the USB 6215 on the 1v range as a differential input. I believe i may have a offset error that is changing with temperature.
Reading the spec for this device says Offset Tempco (ppm of Range/°C) is 49uV. Therefore if temp increases by 5 degrees I could potentially move the offset by 245uV. Is this correct?
I have read a white paper "Measurement Accuracy of a Data Acquisition" that says to measure offset by short circuiting the channel and subtracting this from all subsequent readings.
If using a diiferential analog input does this mean to short Ain+ and Ain- and take an averaged voltage reading? Assuming this is correct I could then increase temp of device a little and take another reading?
