Issues connecting cDAQ 9189 - Ethernet Interface

 Here are the details

We are using version 18 of NIMAX with NI-9189. The MAX takes a while to load (see image- it stays in "not responding" state for a while), finally it loads after 10-15 mins. The issue is, the self-test tells us that "The device is not reachable" - been trying this for almost the whole day. The ping works fine (results included). this means that the DNS and IP stuff is alright.

Already tried to repair NIMAX.

Finally, even after giving NIMAX enough time to load - at the end, we are not able to see the NI cards (such as 9401, 9403) that are socketed in the 9189. Further, I tried to log in and it opens the webinterface, and all the modules appear here but NI-MAX is giving major issues.

 Any idea what may be the issue?

At this time, after numerous attempts, I was able to do the self test

 

Status Code : -88705

The speficied device is not present or is not active in the system... yada yada..

 

The device is connected fine and if I hit log in - the webpage opens up and I can see the device and all the modules. Just not sure why NI MAX is messing this up!

Umm.... Is NI MAX blocked by firewall or any anti-virus software?

Why don't you try to disable those software?
