LM35 with usb 6008

could I use LM35 to measure surface temperature of solar cell ? won't it be affected by air temperature ?

It depends how you mount it..!!
Apart from this, as you're planning to use USB-6008, make sure the range is set to -1(min) to +1(max)... with this configuration you'll get:

(1 - (-1)) / ((2^12) - 1) = 2/4095 = 0.4884 mV/bit.

what do you mean by "how to mount it " , offcourse it will be close to the surface .
