Hi,
We have a few USB-6216 OEM boards here. They used to work fine, but all of a sudden they do not show up in MAX anymore. I struggled for quite some time and installed the latest NI-DAQmx (9.1.0f0) and MAX 4.6.2, but I still can't get it to work.
The symptom is currently that a (non-connected) device shows up when the device is not connected. When I plug the device in, windows finds it properly and following that it disappears from the MAX device list. After unplugging it reappears in MAX as a disconnected device. The NI Device Loader service seems to be running properly.
On another computer, the device shows up in MAX when it is plugged in. However, the serial number is shown as 0x0 and any attempt to communicate with it results in an error.
Any hints to the cause of this problem would be greatly appreciated.
With kind regards,
Reinier

Dear Reinier,
'
Thank you for your post on our webforum. I'm sorry to hear about the problems with your DAQ devices.
For the firts computer; can you verify if both the device loader and the configuration manager are started? Please find more information under this link .
Did you try multiple USB ports on your PC on front and back?
Does the second computer show the DAQ device unplugged if you disable the USB cable?
Best regards,
