NI PCIe 6321 - No Display

I am trying to install a newly
purchased PCIe 6321 DAQ
card in a Dell Optiplex 320.
The Optiplex seems to think
the 6321 is a defective
graphics card. The screen
remains blank and the front
panel error codes are 2,4
which indicates a bad
graphics card. The system
works fine without the 6321.
Any ideas. I tried changing
the BIOS to manually use the
Onboard graphics but it didn't
help. Thanks

Hello David,

It's possible that your 6321 card is defective (someone else had a similar issue here: http://forums.ni.com/t5/FOUNDATION-Fieldbus/PCI-FBUS-Dell-Optiplex-760-no-video-after-installing-the...).

Have you tried the card on other computers? Do you have any other 6321 cards (or even just another PCIe card) that you could plug into that computer? If the card doesn't work on other computers and other cards work on the Optiplex 320, then it is likely that the card is broken, and you will need to call NI about getting it repaired or replaced.

Colden,

Thanks for the update.  I only have one PCIe card.  I suspected there would be a possibility that I might have a bad card but I wanted to be sure before sending it back.  I should be able to find another PC that has a PCIe slot.  If it doesn't work in a second PC (of a different type) I will send the card back for replacement.  It is a brand new card so I would not be surprised if it wasn't the PC.  I'm always very careful with static issues and I doubt it is that easy for a bad card to get out of NI.  I will let you know.  Thanks, Dave
