Hi Mark,
Have you had the chance to update your DAQmx driver to our latest one? http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/4297/lang/en
Steps:
Unplug all NI hardware, Uninstall DAQmx, Install DAQmx and plug your device.
Let me know if this helps.

Hi Mark,
At a quick glance it does seem like you were missing a few files which would be related to a corrupt install of DAQmx.
Also, to help narrow down the source, do you remember if you were able to view your NI hardware in question within window's device manager?

Only the chassis showed up in Windows device manager, not the modules. When it's working, the chassis and all the modules are listed.
Which files were missing that indicated corruption? If those had been replaced, would that have fixed it?

Hi Mark,
I did no dig far enough to see what files are missing. They could be driver files or windows registry files.
The suggested steps to solve such issues as discussed in this forum:
1. Reset Max Configuration
2. Repair DAQmx and NI-MAX install
3. Unistall DAQmx and reinstall DAQmx
Unfortunately, if the above procedures do not solve the issue, there is some sort of corruption within the Windows registry. Which would explain why reformatting solves the issue. There are no other simple steps we can take once a registry is corrupt. I apologize for any inconvenience.
An alternative option might be to use a Windows tool that allows restoring your system to an earlier configuration as explained on Microsoft's website: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/what-is-system-restore.

Hi all,
a slightly different issue here, but that is still relevant to this discussion.
I have Labview 19.0, with DAQmx and everything, installed exactly the same way and around the same time, on two Windows 10 laptops, one older than the other.
The chassis shows up fine and functions properly on the newer laptop.
But it does not even show up in MAX on the older one, let alone labview. Windows complains about not recognizing the device.
Any clue anyone?
Thanks for your help
Quentin
