Hi, we have two NI 5152 boards as Dev 2 and Dev3. However, both of them failed the self test in the measurement & Automation explorer menu.
The error is -200313
possible reason is Measurements: hardware clocking error occurred.
The error message is attach in the figure.
Does anyone have an idea of this error? Thanks a lot!

Hi Zaipeng,
Your 5152 boards are throwing this issue because your drivers are unable to communicate with your boards. When was the last time these boards have worked? Let's just try working with one of the boards for now and take the following troubleshooting steps:
These error codes can be thrown by a number of issues and we cannot determine what the low level cause is before we actually repair and test the board when you send it in for an RMA. It's hard to say what is caused this board to fail without knowing the exact conditions of the failure and use of the board over its lifetime. Even if the entire history of the board is known, these are complicated devices and it can still be quite difficult since there are many unknown electrical conditions. Some of these possible causes include: accidentally shorting components on the device, hot swapping, poor grounding, over voltage signals, or poor chassis cooling are common factors in device damage.
Please let me know the results of the troubleshooting steps so we can work together to come up with a solution for you if they fail.

Hi, I have tried all steps
1. Reset the device in Measurement & Automation Explorer.
-- It returns a error message, Error -200313 occurred at Reset Device
Possible Reason: Hardware clocking error occurred.
2. Reboot the PC or PXI controller.
-- Same error still exists
3. Try a different PCI or PXI slot.
-- We have tried different PCI and tried different computers, same error still exists
4.Reinstall the device driver in the device manager (you don’t need to reinstall NI-SCOPE) by deleting the device and letting the operating system re-detect the hardware (Action>> Scan for New Devices in the Windows Device manager).
-- Same error still exists
5. Update the driver to the latest version.
-- We initially tested it on LabVIEW 2009, it has this error. Now, we reintalled WindowsXP and then installed LabVIEW2010, Same error still exists
6. If possible try the card in a different system
-- We even tried the card in a Window 7 PC with LabVIEW 2010, Same error still exists.
We have four such cards, they all behave the same way. Do you have any advice?
Thanks a lot!

Hi Zaipeng,
This is really bad. Most likeley your devices have failed and probably require RMA's. Please call into NI Support 1-866-275-6964 so we can collect more information from you. Because it is occurring on multiple cards, this is a serious issue and it is also something that will probably be forwarded to our R&D team.
