I am trying to use a PCI-6070E (PCI-MIO-16E-1) with a newer computer. NI MAX is able to recognize the device. However, I receive the following message
Error Code: -209852
The specified device is no longer supported within the NI-DAQmx API.
I am running version 20.0.0 of LabVIEW, version 20.0.0f0 of NI MAX, and version 20.0 on pretty much everything else. I have a Dell OptiPlex 5090 with a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz. Is there anything I can do to make this device work with my computer? If not, what are the latest software/hardware specifications on which I can use this DAQ card?

PCI-6070E is an ancient card and I don't think it will run on anything in the recent decade software.
Looks like it was last supported on NI-DAQ 7.4.4T up to Windows XP.

Adding just a couple other little things.
The version 7.4.4 DAQ driver mentioned in the table is likely referring to the version # of the old "traditional NI-DAQ" driver rather than DAQmx.
Because I thought I remembered early E-series support from DAQmx, I made a brief attempt to search it out. What I found quickly was for DAQmx 9.8 where the PXI version of the 6070 was supported but the PCI version was not. DAQmx *started* at version #7, so 9.8 wasn't very far along suggesting to me that the 6070 might never have had DAQmx support. See this link for a related table. Note that the PCI versions of *most* E-series devices were supported, the 6070E happens to be something of an exception.

Some (most) E-series cards were supported up to NI DAQmx 19.0.

I see the NI PCI-MIO-16E-1 was supported in DAQmx 19.0. I downloaded the NI DAQmx 19.0 installer. I uninstalled 20.0 and installed 19.0. However NI max is still showing the same error. When I look under the software tab here is what shows for the NI DAQmx versions.
NI-DAQmx ADE Support 19.0
NI-DAQmx Device Driver 20.0
NI-DAQmx MAX Configuration 20.0
I assume the device driver and MAX configuration software also need to be version 19.0. However, I did not see an option to do this when I reverted NI DAQmx 19.0. Any tips on accomplishing this?

I see now LabVIEW 20.0 is not compatible with NI DAQmx 19.0. I will just try reverting everything to 19.0 and see if that works.

I have uninstalled LabVIEW 20.0 and NI DAQmx 20.0 and all their dependencies and then installed LabVIEW 19.0 and NI DAQmx 19.0. I am getting the same error. All NI DAQmx documentation for 19.0 suggests it should be compatible. I have attached a screenshot of software according to NI MAX. Is there something else I need to revert to a previous version? NI DAQmx Device Driver and NI DAQmx MAX configuration were both uninstalled and automatically installed as version 20.0 when I installed NI DAQmx 19.0.
