PCIe 6323 Analog Inputs

Solved!
Go to solution

Dear all,

I would like to meassure some Current inputs 4-20 mA and some PT1000 Sensors. Is this possible with the PCIe 6323 card? There is no information about that in the handbook.

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

Michael

RTD requires an excitation current to work properly. You should get a proper RTD measurement device. Measuring Temperature with Thermocouples, RTDs, and Thermistors

6323 is Analog Voltage input card and not best suited for the 4-20mA measurement or PT1000. You could measure it with additional external circuit but it could be extra work, instead but the right hardware for the job.

Is there a PCIe card that can handle a current measurement signal?

Unfortunately, no PCIe equivalent. Here are the available models - https://www.ni.com/en-us/shop/category/current.html?page=1&foc=0

Instead, you can also use an external current-to-voltage converter.
