PXI-6733 as Digital I/O

I have PXI-6723 and PXI-6733 cards, they work fine as an analog outputs, but i would like to use them as a digital I/O.

When i switch in Test Panels to Digital I/O tab and set all ports to output and to high, my voltmeter always shows 0 volts for each port.

Any idea what i'm doing wrong?

Thanks, Michal

Michal,

Thank you for contacting National Instruments support. How old are these boards and have they ever worked? How are you connecting your voltmeter to the digital lines? Are you connecting to a digital line and digital ground? Have you tried these cards in different PXI slots, and does the behavior follow the card or the slot? Also, do you have a breakout box or are you putting the voltmeter directly into the pin holes?

Lastly, does your PXI chassis have an embedded controller or are you using MXI? What version of the DAQmx drivers are on your computer / controller - is it the newest?
