Hi Katja,

This is a little different from the previous discussion, so please make new threads for new discussions. The PCI 6537 is capable of using a Pause Trigger which will start/stop the operation of your task based on a digital signal. You can also do this in software either by calling start/stopping the task (before the loop configure the task, inside the loop start task-generate data-stop task-waituntil start again, after loop clear task); or in software you can put an and the data with the condition on whether to pause or not, so that it will always right the default idle state if your 'idle' condition is set.
