SCXI-1000 chassis interfaced with Ni-PCI-MIO-16E-4

hello,

i am using an scxi1000 chassis and interfacing it to my pc via a pci-mio-16e-4 daq card. I was able to communicate with the scxi chassis and the cards installed in it (scxi-1122 and scxi-2400) about 2 months ago, then I upgrade nidaq and have not been able to get a working system.

I tried downgrading nidaq but it did not help.

basically when i try to add the scxi-1000 chassis under ni-daqmax devices, ni daq is unable to find the chassis and the cards installed in the chassis.

any thoughts???

Hi mmer,

The SCXI-2400 can only be programed using NI-DAQ version 6.9.x or earlier. This information can be found in the readme of the NI-DAQ or NI-DAQmx driver that is installed. If you are currently using a compatible driver version, I would check this by looking in Measurement and Automation under Software. If you using a more current version of the driver, I would try to remove the SCXI-2400 module to see if everything else is detected. In addition, I would also ensure that all of the cable connections are secure. If you have additional questions, please provide the driver versions that you are working with.

Hi Kent,

thanks for the reply, I tried using just the scxi-1000 with the scxi-1122 installed and connected to the DAQ card but still nothing.  NiDaq does not see the chassis and/or the cards intstalled in the chassis.

thanks

Hi mmer,

I was wondering if you could provide the current version of the driver that you are using. In addition, can you see your DAQ card in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)? I would also recommend going through all of the steps listed in the SCXI Quick Start Guide starting on page 12.  If you experience problems, please let me know at what step the error occurs.
