USB 6009, 1 khz, but chooses 500 hz randomly

Hello

I'm trying to measure an analog voltage at 1 khz sampling rate. I want to create a force vs. displacement curve. To calculate displacement, I divide the rate of displacement on my test machine by the sampling rate I set in labview. My test machine rate of displacement is accurate within 0.2%.

When I enter my sampling rate as 1 ms into my labview program, I get results typical of '1khz sampling rate.jpg' - some results are indicitave of a 500 hz sampling rate instead of the requested 1 khz. Every test was conducted with the same test specimen, and the overall displacement of the test specimen is 0.060"

Has anyone had this issue before?

Kind Regards,

Jason

I'm wondering if there's a chance it might be the labview DAQ, or maybe just the Labview program I'm using. I will try to use a different DAQ card and get back to you.

Hi,

What version of LabVIEW and DAQmx are you using? What do you mean by sometimes it is indicative of 500 Hz sampling rate? Is this happening after running your VI once or a few times?

Also, please attach your code.
