Our research lab has a 8 year old NI USB-6251 DAQ board which runs LabView. In the past 2 weeks there have been difficulties in turning the unit on, sometimes requiring the user to lightly tap the top of the device. We're trying to see if any other users have had this problem with an easy solution, or if it required a maintenance request that would remove the board from lab for a few weeks.

That does not sound normal, have you had the device in any harsh conditions in the lab? Do you have any other devices that are acting the same?
