USB 6259 DAQ

Hey my name is Bradley Turner and I was recently working with the NI USB 6259. I am just curious if a voltage over 10 volts is input into a channel, will the whole board "fry" or will it just be the specific channel? Thank you for your time.

Howdy Bradley!

If you exceed the rated working voltage on any one of the channels of the USB-6259 you run the risk of frying all of the channels.  The M-Series devices multiplex through the channels so that they all share they same input circuitry.  The M-Series User Manual has a digram showing these connections.  Over driving one of the analog inputs will affect the other channels.
