Hello,
I am a little confused on what exactly TSN provides for cDAQ-9185/9189 chassis.
One thing we are looking to do is sample an analog channel in a NI-9209 module in a cDAQ-9189 chassis when the digital input of a NI-9401 goes low to high in a cDAQ-9185 chassis.
Does TSN provide signaling like this via ethernet/TSN or must physical lines be connected between two chassis for this particular example?
Thanks,

Short answer, no. Physical lines are not required between chassis. Time start trigger is used. Synchronization is done via TSN (IEEE 802.11as).

One other consideration, you would need to use a LabVIEW Linux RT controller for your system. TSN is not supported on Windows.
