momentary push button to anlalog input

We have a USB 6210 DAQ, I want to connect momentary push button to anlalog input to find when the button is pushed. Can somebody help with electrical connections that is needed.

Connect a pullup resistor to +5V, connect the other end to the switch, connect the other end of the switch to gnd. Connect your analog (or digital) input to the switch/resistor connection. The DAQ input will see either gnd or +5V.

What is value of resistor,  I would appreciate if you can how calculate, I know voltage is 5 v, and what is the current value to be used in equation (v/i=r)

First check the manual to see if the digital lines aleady have pullups. If not, read the manual for max current in. A 10k will probably work fine.
