niDAQmx and virtualization

We use want to use simultaneous the niDAQmx (and a software developped with) on 4 virtual machines (on a single PC with VirtualBox or VMWare) to acquire simultaneous data from 4 Ethernet DAQ (NI ENET) ? (sampling rate is around 1 ms).

Is it possible and is there some limitations ?

I cannot comment on VirtualBox, but we've seen some cases of some bogus data over USB when using VMWare.  I'm not sure if they have since corrected the problem or if the problem could apply to ethernet data, but I don't think I'd be very comfortable with using a virtualized operating system for data acquisition, unless it's acceptable to risk having some invalid data points.  We do some network communication in the kernel, making me even more leary of using a virtualized operating system for data acquisition.
