I'm a complete newbie in DAQ...
For a project, we need to read one or more open/close contacts coming from an alarm system.
We will start using the USB-6501 to connect the contacts to our server, which is running Centos 5.5 .
The system has to execute a specific shell command each time the state of the contacts changes between open and close. This check has to run as a service...
Now my question is: what software do I need (I guess NIDAQMX or NIDAQMX Base) and where do i start with programming, or is there already a premade command available that I can use?
