riding signal voltage

I have a 200mv 6.8 khz pulse riding on the 15v dc power source. I need to seperate this and analyze the pulse .

I am using a pXI-6515 and a PXI-623, I also will need to generate this same signal. A 200mv 6.8khz pulse riding on a +15v sourse.

Any Ideas?

Hi Firedog7,

We do not have a PXI-623 device that I am aware of, although we have several M-series DAQ cards that begin with PXI-623. Which one are you using? Whether or not you can perform your task will depend upon the device you are using.

In general, the best way to separate and generate the signals will also depend on the properties of your pulse. Is it a simple square wave with 50% duty cycle or are there more details in the signal of interest? The quickest way to separate the signals is to subtract 15 from your data, but the downside of this approach is that any offset in the DC power source will cause an offset in your measurment of the pulse.

The PXI-6515 is a digital I/O board, and is not suited toward your application.
