simulate arbitrary signal not triggering correctly

Hi, I'm having a problem getting the Simulate Arbitrary Signal express VI to trigger properly.  I am generating an analog output and synchronizing generation with a 1 kHz digital pulse train.  I have a VI that worked fine previously when I used the Simulate Signal express VI.  I've now replaced that with the arbitrary signal VI and the output is no longer syncing with the pulse train; however, the waveform is produced correctly.  What is the difference between Simulate Arbitrary Signal and Simulate Signal that would cause this problem?

Leyen,

Just a couple of questions. Why did you switch from the Simulate Signal express VI to the Simulate Arbitrary Signal Express VI? Did you need to customize the signal being generated?

The Simulate Arbitrary Signal has more custom parameters than the Simulate Signal Express VI. What is it that you have everything set to?

Hi Stephanie,

Yes, I switched to be able to customize the signal.  I have defined essentially the same signal as I did with the Simulate Signal vi.  In the Simulate Arbitrary Signal vi I have dt set to 1 microsecond.  Also it is set to generate entire cycle, and x is set to repeat.

When you say the output is no longer syncing how much is it off by? How different is the signal you are using in the Arbitrary Signal? You said it is essentially the same, but what is different about it?
