Difference b/w ordinary components and virtual components?

Hi,

 

A "virtual" component is a part that was not modeled after any particular part that you can purchase. For example, a virtual diode simply means the model parameters are all default values, you may not be able to purchase a diode with that same characteristic.

 

Sometime we refer to parts as "real" which means the parts existed at some point.
