Ultiboard units set to automatic?

My menu dropdown used to allow me to directly select the units.  But now it only allows one choice of units and says 'automatic'.  To change units now I have to go to properties and change them.  Why has this happened?  (UB ver 14.1)  Never seen this before.

I feel dumb.  My tool bar section was just shrunk enough to not show the other dropdown that allows any units to be picked.
